Best Forgotten Item? Can't decide
Title says it all....
Question #1: What do you think is the best End-Game Item in Nightfall? Question #2: Whats the best type of bow? Flat, Horn, Long, Recurve, Short? Question #3: What's the best bow skin? I just want your opinions everyone... I don't need to hear answers like "Depends on the person." I want your personal preference. If I'm not allowed to post in this section of the forums about questions like these (please pardon me) I had no intention of violating the rules I just thought it fits in the "Questions and Answers". |

1. Idk
2. I like longbows for the long range and medium arc/speed. 3. My favorite bow skin is the Zodiac Longbow (I have one). |

1. I like the staffs best, cool skin with reasonable stats.
2. Recurve, best accuracy, second best fire rate, range is reasonable. Unless im using RTW, then ill take a flatbow (or is it a hornbow?) 3. I like the Mursaat Hornbow. But for recurves i like Azure the best. |

The sword, axe, and hammer also have decent stats, but the shields seem kind of useless with only extra armor against certain elements. I don't really like any of the staves or wands since I like a HCT over Energy +5 (Health >50%). The flatbow is nice for barraging, but the rest seem kind of useless for PvE. Vampiric on a hornbow isn't useful since you want to deal AoE damage in PvE more than single target damage. I don't really see a point in longbow since its slow fire rate and flatbow can pull, putting sundering on it makes it even more useless. I like recurve bows, but the Forgotten Recurve Bow doesn't help in PvE. Crippling doesn't help unless you're running Cripshot and you're not going to do that in PvE much. Shortbow has extra bleeding, but Rangers don't bleed much. For the scythes, any of them would work. For the spears, Courage and Prayer is good. I don't see much of a point for Spirit though. And the shields seem pretty useless also with only extra armor against certain elements. Quote:
Flatbow can be used for pulling also, and the fast refire rate if you have a way to fix flight time or arc size like with [[Read the Wind (PvE)] and [[Favorable Winds]. Hornbows are good for squeezing the extra damage in a team ranger spike. It doesn't seem to do much for a ranger on it's own. Recurve bow would be my favorite since its the most overall balanced. Decent Refire Rate, decent Range, best Flight Time, and best Arc Size. It has two of the best stats for bows without giving up much for the other two. Shortbows has fast refire rate, but small range. Good to switch to for fighting up close. My favorite is the Dead Bow skin. Even if it is common now, I still like the shape of it and anything similar to it like the Azure, Amber, and Jade bows. People seem to like Eternal and Storm bows, but I don't see anything fancy about the Eternal and I don't like how the Storm only comes in longbows. Destroyer bows are another one that people seem to like, but I find it ugly. Silverwing Recurve Bow is probably the bow skin that people pay the most for. I do find it fancy how the white spines on the back fade in and out when idle, and "charge up" when you fire arrows, but I still like the Dead Bow shape more. Instead of posting multiple links to every bow skin I mentioned so that you could appreciate the skin also, it would probably be easier if I posted one that lead to a list of them and let you look them up on your own. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bow#Bow_Types http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bow/Gallery |

1 forgotten sword? lol =) idk, use wiki to compare em all easily. best to use one of those for a hero.
2. longbow for overall usage. beter to have multiple types for different usages to weapon swap between. 3. sliverwing recurve because of pretty lights =D, drago's flatbow cause it's HUGE, tormented longbow is cool looking, stormbow is awesome but oldschool. |

1. None of the GWEN end game bows are worth the time to get them.
2. PvE, Longbow. PvP, Hornbow. 3. PvE, Zodiac (have four). PvP, Mursaat (have two). Last edited by KZaske; Mar 18, 2009 at 06:45 AM // 06:45.. Reason: Spelling error. |

1. I really don't like the endgame items. I think the skins are lame. The daggers from Eotn are acceptable though.
2. Most people wouldn't agree, but I always hold that shortbows are the best because of their refire rate. I also despise flatbows and hornbows. 3. My favorite would have to be the stormbow...it's so shiny. |

5 year olds: eeeew there's a naked girl on my bow!
16 year olds: sweet, there's a naked girl on my bow! You do the math. As for the forgotten weapons, I more often than not forget they exist to be honest. The other end-game greens tend to have better stats or better skins for the weapons I actually use. Recurve all the way for pve bows. Hornbow if you want to go pvp. For bow skins, I still like the eternal bow, but the tengu bows fit better with my armor. |

1. Depends what you need. Heroes, other toons, or whatever.
2.Long / Flat for pulling, but main bow i think should be Recurve / Short. (Most people don't like short, but if you are going as a point blank glass spiker, it's the best choice/ but mainly recurve is good for everything.) 3. I like for longbow - Zodiac / Maplewood / Turtleshell. Recurve - Eternal All the rest - I use all of them less so idc about skin. |
